According to a statement by the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Bulgaria, Minister of Tourism Dr. Ilin Dimitrov met with Secretary-General Sheikha Al Nua'is during the 126th session of the Executive Council of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UN Tourism) in Toledo, Spain.

At the invitation of Minister Dimitrov, Secretary-General Sheikha Al Nua'is will visit Bulgaria this year as part of a joint event. In addition, it was agreed to organize an Investment Forum in 2027 with the participation of companies from the tourism sector.

Minister Dimitrov and Secretary-General Al Nua'is also took steps toward cooperation in establishing an Association of Higher Education Institutions aimed at training qualified personnel for the tourism sector.
