Albares: The Gibraltar Agreement has historical significance
Madrid, April 9 (Hibya) – Spain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, Jose Manuel Albares, stated that the Gibraltar Agreement will be a turning point for the people of the region, emphasizing that it offers a historic opportunity for stability and prosperity.
Spain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, Jose Manuel Albares made remarks on the social and economic impacts of the agreement reached with Gibraltar.
Highlighting the importance of the agreement, Albares said: “The Gibraltar Agreement has historical significance because it will lead to the removal of the fence (Verja) and will mark a turning point in the lives of 300,000 Andalusians in the Gibraltar area in terms of stability, prosperity, and well-being.”
Regarding the future of the process, Albares added: “It is a historic opportunity for coexistence and development.”
