Budrys: Europe can no longer afford delays
Paris, March 26 (Hibya) - Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys, speaking at the Paris Defence and Strategy Forum, emphasized that as the geopolitical landscape changes, Europe must act faster to support Ukraine and ensure its own security.
Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys made assessments on Europe’s defense strategies and the war in Ukraine during the session he attended within the scope of the Paris Defence and Strategy Forum.
Referring to the historic turning point Europe is going through, Budrys said: "I am honored to speak at the Paris Defence and Strategy Forum at a very important moment for Europe. The geopolitical landscape is changing and Europe can no longer afford delays."
Addressing Ukraine’s resistance and the scale of support provided by Europe, Minister Budrys stated: "In the fourth year of Russia’s brutal war, Ukraine continues its resistance despite enormous human losses. Europe has mobilized more than 100 billion euros in support."
However, noting that self-criticism is necessary, Budrys added: "February 24 reminded us of a harsh reality: we did not give Ukraine everything it needed when it needed it."
