Budrys: We stand by Ukraine in ceasefire efforts
Vilnius, June 2 (Hibya) - Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys stated that they stand by Ukraine in efforts to achieve a full and unconditional 30-day ceasefire, calling on Russia to comply without delay or conditions.
Minister Budrys expressed his pleasure at hosting Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha in Lithuania.
“Our messages are clear,” Budrys said. “Transparency, sincere commitment, and clarity of purpose are essential for meaningful progress in peace negotiations. The Kremlin’s obstructive delaying tactics have so far resulted in missile and drone attacks on Ukrainian cities, causing civilian deaths – including children.”
Budrys emphasized that they support efforts for a full and unconditional 30-day ceasefire as a first step toward a just and lasting peace, calling on Russia to comply immediately and unconditionally.
“Our unwavering support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity remains firm,” he added.
