CENTCOM: 4 US soldiers killed in combat
Tampa, March 2 (Hibya) - The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that the number of US soldiers killed in Iran’s attacks and ongoing clashes has risen to four following the death of a severely wounded soldier.
In a statement from its headquarters in Tampa, Florida, CENTCOM shared updated casualty figures regarding large-scale combat operations in the region.
As of 07:30 Eastern Time, the number of fatalities had increased.
The statement said: “As of March 2, 07:30 Eastern Time, 4 US soldiers have been killed in combat. The fourth soldier, who was severely wounded during Iran’s initial attacks, later succumbed to his injuries. Large-scale combat operations are ongoing and our response efforts continue.”
It was emphasized that the identities of the deceased will not be released until 24 hours after their next of kin have been notified.
