Cooper: Sudan needs a global push for peace
London, 3 December (Hibya) – UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper highlighted the humanitarian crisis in Sudan and called on the international community to launch a global initiative for peace.
Foreign Secretary Cooper stated that Sudan needs a global push for peace, noting that the clashes in Babanusa and drone attacks on civilians in the Nuba Mountains are further worsening an already dire crisis.
Cooper said she discussed today with the U.S. Senior Adviser for Africa the efforts to secure a vital humanitarian ceasefire to protect civilians and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to the country.
