El Hulaifi holds phone call with Lebanese Deputy Prime Minister Mitri
Doha, May 31 (Hibya) - Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Qatar's Minister of State Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh El Hulaifi held a phone conversation with Lebanese Deputy Prime Minister Tarek Mitri.
According to a statement issued by Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh El Hulaifi held a telephone conversation with Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Lebanon Dr. Tarek Mitri.
During the call, the two sides discussed cooperation relations between the two countries, ways to support and strengthen them, and the latest developments in Lebanon.
During the conversation, Minister of State El Hulaifi expressed the State of Qatar's condemnation of the ongoing Israeli attacks against the Republic of Lebanon, the expansion of Israel's ground operation in southern Lebanon, and the targeting of civilians.
It was also stated that this situation is regarded as a violation of Lebanon's sovereignty and international law, as well as an escalation threatening the security and stability of the region, and support was expressed for efforts aimed at de-escalation.
