Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

According to CCTV, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres addressed the escalating tensions in the region during the UN Security Council’s open debate on the Middle East.

Guterres stated that the Middle East is being pushed into a deeper crisis due to increasing hostilities, creating the danger of a “full resumption of conflict,” with consequences extending beyond the region’s borders. Emphasizing that people across the region, particularly the most vulnerable communities, are paying a heavy price, the Secretary-General expressed deep concern about any further deterioration of the situation.

Speaking about the situation in Lebanon, Guterres noted that Israel has intensified its operations, while Hezbollah has launched attacks deep into Israeli territory. He stated that these clashes have caused widespread destruction in southern Lebanon and displaced more than one million civilians. The Secretary-General also announced that seven UN peacekeepers have lost their lives so far.

Guterres called on all parties to pursue a diplomatic solution in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 1701 and to respect Lebanon’s territorial integrity.
