IDF: Air target launched from Lebanon toward Israel intercepted
Jerusalem, June 1 (Hibya) - The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that a suspicious aerial target launched from Lebanese territory was intercepted and that the position from which rockets were fired at Tiberias was destroyed.
The IDF reported that alerts were activated at 06:39 after the detection of a hostile aerial intrusion in the northern regions of the country.
According to the statement, air defense systems launched an interceptor against a suspicious aerial target fired from Lebanese territory toward Israel, and the target was neutralized.
It was stated that no injuries or casualties were reported following the brief alert situation in the north of the country.
In a second statement, the IDF said it had identified and destroyed the launch position from which Hezbollah fired rockets at Tiberias during the night.
The security situation in the area is reportedly being closely monitored.
