IDF: Iran’s attempt to activate defense systems thwarted
Jerusalem, March 2 (Hibya) - The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that the Air Force neutralized military units attempting to activate defense systems in Iran and that air operations targeting ballistic missile launchers are ongoing.
The IDF issued a statement regarding military activity on Iranian territory and the course of its air operations, noting that the Israeli Air Force (IAF) targeted defense systems posing a threat to its aircraft.
The statement read: “The Air Force neutralized soldiers of the Iranian terrorist regime who were attempting to activate defense systems against our forces. Air Force aircraft thwarted an attack by a military unit affiliated with the Iranian regime’s defense system that was trying to bring defense systems into operation against our forces.”
It added that the IDF will not allow the Iranian regime to activate its defense systems to strike IAF aircraft and will continue to target attempts to activate missile launch systems. At the same time, the Air Force continues its strikes on Iran’s ballistic missile launch and launcher systems.
