Israeli forces killed nine Palestinians in Gaza
Stockholm, February 15 (Hibya) - According to health officials, Israeli forces killed five Palestinians in southern Khan Younis and four others in northern El-Faluja.
The attacks on Sunday coincided with a series of Israeli army strikes in southern Lebanon targeting warehouses used by the armed group Hezbollah.
A source at Nasser Hospital in Gaza told Al Jazeera that Israeli forces killed at least five Palestinians in the southern city of Khan Younis.
The source added that the attack took place beyond the “yellow line” where Israeli troops are stationed in Gaza.
A source at Al-Shifa Hospital said the other four Palestinians were killed when Israeli forces attacked a tent set up for displaced people in the El-Faluja area in northern Gaza.
There has been no official statement from Israel yet. However, in an early Sunday statement, the Israeli army said it had struck a building in an unspecified area of northern Gaza shortly after several armed fighters entered it. The statement said at least two of the fighters were killed.
The Israeli army also said it killed another person in Gaza on Sunday who allegedly crossed the “yellow line” and posed an “immediate threat” to its forces. No evidence was provided to support the claims.
