Italian Defense Minister Crosetto: The State does not back down
Rome, July 30 (Hibya) – Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto issued a message of solidarity following threats directed at Justice Minister Carlo Nordio.
Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto stated that attempts to intimidate judicial institutions and public officials are unacceptable, emphasizing democratic principles and the determination of the State.
Expressing his support for Nordio, Crosetto said: "I express my full solidarity and support to Minister Carlo Nordio. Any attempt to intimidate those who represent and serve our institutions must be firmly rejected."
Reacting to threats and intimidation, Crosetto added: "Hatred, violence, and reminders of one of the darkest chapters of our history can never influence the actions of the State. In a democracy, we debate and exchange views, even forcefully, but we do not threaten. The State does not back down."
