Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten, speaking during a visit to the VNG Annual Congress, emphasized the importance of cooperation between municipalities, provinces, water boards and the central government.

Jetten said they are working on a new and comprehensive cooperation agenda, noting that youth services, infrastructure, housing construction and capacity problems in the electricity grid are among the priority issues.

Jetten also drew attention to increasing verbal abuse, aggression and threats directed at political representatives, saying that these attitudes must be tackled together.
