Lammy: The Holocaust was six million lives destroyed by hatred
London, Jan. 27 (Hibya) – UK Deputy Prime Minister David Lammy stressed in a statement marking Holocaust Memorial Day the need to resolutely defend the fight against antisemitism and the principle of “never again.”
Deputy Prime Minister Lammy said the Holocaust was the systematic murder of six million Jews, meaning “six million individual lives destroyed by hatred.”
Stating that he recently visited the Majdanek concentration camp and witnessed the horror firsthand, Lammy emphasized that he commemorates Holocaust Memorial Day with a commitment to remembrance, challenging antisemitism, and a determination to give real meaning to the pledge of “never again.”
