Lavrov: Proposals discussed in Alaska were accepted by Russia
Moscow, June 26 (Hibya) – Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov commented on the diplomatic contacts held ahead of the Alaska Summit.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that ahead of the Alaska Summit, Steve Witkoff conveyed U.S. President Donald Trump's proposals to Moscow.
Lavrov said, "Ahead of the Alaska Summit, Steve Witkoff delivered Donald Trump's proposals to Moscow."
Lavrov stated that the proposals were discussed in Alaska, adding, "They were discussed in Alaska and accepted by the Russian side."
Referring to statements made by the U.S. side, Lavrov said, "Now Marco Rubio says there was no agreement. That is not a very elegant approach."
