French President Macron stated that the outbreak of war between the United States, Israel, and Iran would have serious consequences for international peace and security.

In this critical moment, Macron pointed out that France has taken all necessary measures to ensure the security of its territories and citizens, as well as the security of its interests in the Middle East. He added that France is ready to mobilize the necessary resources to protect its closest allies, if they request assistance.

Macron emphasized that the current tension is dangerous for everyone, and said:

“It must be stopped. The Iranian regime must understand that it has no choice but to enter into good faith negotiations to end its nuclear and ballistic missile programs and actions that destabilize the region. This is absolutely essential for the security of everyone in the Middle East.”

Macron also emphasized that the Iranian people must be able to freely build their future, adding: “The massacres committed by the Islamic regime are undermining its credibility and making it imperative that the people be given a voice. The sooner, the better. France, staying true to its principles and aware of its international responsibilities, calls for the urgent convening of the United Nations Security Council. I am in close contact with our European partners and our friends in the Middle East.”
