French President Emmanuel Macron welcomed Gabonese President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema in Paris.

Stating that France and Gabon are strengthening their cooperation in the fields of economy, energy, culture and defense, Macron said: “Gabon and France are strengthening their partnership in the economic, energy, cultural and defense sectors.”

Macron also stressed that the two countries share the goal of protecting Gabon's rich biodiversity and forests, saying: “We share the goal of preserving Gabon's extraordinary biodiversity and forests. This wealth is a treasure for the African continent and for all humanity.”
