Matthew Miller, former spokesperson for the United States (US) Department of State, shared his assessment of Gina Hinojosa's and James Talarico's election campaigns in a social media post.

Miller noted that both candidates had entered their respective races with little name recognition and facing considerable uncertainty. He stated that they had challenged the established political structure in regions where the Republican Party (Grand Old Party - GOP) was strong and had faced hundreds of millions of dollars' worth of attacks during their campaigns.

Miller emphasized that, despite these challenges, both candidates achieved electoral success and contributed to the Democratic Party's election victory.
