According to the statement from Bulgaria’s Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, after Bulgarian Minister of Labor and Social Policy Hasan Ademov insisted on the immediate launch of distribution under conditions of rising prices and budget insufficiency, approximately 530 thousand people in extreme need will receive assistance consisting of 11 types of food products.

More than 200 thousand low-income people were paid compensation due to rising fuel prices. The MLSP aimed not to allow the tools of the social system to be used to pressure citizens’ right to vote freely.

To prevent such violations, Minister Hasan Ademov instructed that inspections by the Social Assistance Agency and the Agency for the Quality of Social Services be increased.

The team of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security developed employment measures to support not only the most vulnerable groups but also municipalities. As a result of the implementation of these measures, more than 15 thousand unemployed people from vulnerable groups will find jobs under the “Employment Without Barriers” program, financed within the “Human Resources Development” Program.

On the instruction of Minister Hasan Ademov, the National Employment Action Plan was activated. This plan will ensure the employment of more than one thousand people through municipal employment agencies to be used in emergency activities for dealing with disasters and their consequences.
