According to a statement from the Ministry of National Defense (MSB), it was reported that the Navy, supporting the search and rescue efforts for the sunken cargo ship Batuhan-A in the Marmara Sea, detected the ship using a sonar device at a depth of 51 meters.

It was also announced that the Navy has assigned a Maritime Patrol Aircraft for search and rescue operations, and it was announced that the research ship TCG Çubuklu located in the Gulf of Izmit, and the mine countermeasure ship TCG Ayvalık stationed in the Erdek Naval Base have also moved to the area.

The statement said: "Both of our ships, equipped with underwater and surface search capabilities, are providing support for search and rescue operations in the area. Additionally, it was reported that our search and rescue ship TCG AKIN, located in the Black Sea, continues to move towards the area to provide support. Furthermore, it was reported that a Seahawk helicopter belonging to the Navy is stationed at the Çanakkale Naval Air Station, while an AS532 helicopter belonging to the Air Force is preparing to move to the area from the main airbase in Eskişehir 1."
