Netanyahu: Iran is the enemy of civilization
Dimona, March 22 (Hibya) - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated after the missile attack in Dimona that Iran is targeting civilians, holy sites, and strategic areas, calling on world leaders to take action.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made remarks on March 22, 2026, in Dimona following the missile attack carried out by Iran. In his speech, he said, "If you need to understand that Iran is the enemy of civilization, you have seen it in the last 48 hours. They attacked civilians and children. There is a kindergarten here, there is a nursing home here. They are firing terror weapons at civilians, often using cluster munitions banned under international law."
Netanyahu also pointed to attacks on holy sites in Jerusalem, saying, "They fired ballistic missiles that could destroy the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the Western Wall. These are the holiest sites of the three monotheistic religions… They do not care. They attack everything."
Referring to Iran’s international-level threats, Netanyahu said, "They launched an intercontinental ballistic missile 4,000 kilometers away to the Diego Garcia base. They can now reach almost all of Europe. I have been warning about this for years." He also added, "They have closed the Strait of Hormuz, a vital maritime route, and are threatening the world with oil blackmail."
Calling on world leaders to act, Netanyahu said, "President Trump was right. We are not only fighting for ourselves but also for you. And he asked a simple question: Where are you? It is time to heed President Trump’s call and vision."
