Pakistan’s aid plane to Sri Lanka blocked by India
Islamabad, December 2 (Hibya) – The Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that a humanitarian aid aircraft sent to Sri Lanka has been waiting for over 60 hours for flight clearance from India.
The Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that a special humanitarian aircraft destined for Sri Lanka had been obstructed by India. The ministry noted that the aircraft had been waiting for more than 60 hours for flight permission, causing a severe disruption to the relief operation.
Pakistan emphasized that the partial flight clearance India granted last night was not operationally viable, as it was valid only for a few hours and did not include authorization for the return flight. The ministry reported that this situation had seriously hindered the urgent humanitarian mission for the people of Sri Lanka.
