Petro: For the media in Antioquia, social struggles are illegitimate
Bogotá, March 16 (Hibya) - Colombian President Gustavo Petro stated that media outlets in the Antioquia region ignore social struggles.
Colombian President Gustavo Petro spoke about the media structure in the Antioquia region and its approach to social movements.
Arguing that the media in the region display a biased attitude, Petro said, “For the media in Antioquia, social struggles are illegitimate.”
Petro added, “In this way, a communication bubble is formed in Antioquia that silences the voices of marginalized groups.”
