Plenkovic discusses Croatia-France strategic partnership with Macron
Zagreb, October 7 (Hibya) - Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic met with French President Emmanuel Macron in Split ahead of the MED9 meeting. The talks covered the European Union's new Multiannual Financial Framework, diversification of energy supplies, the EU's enlargement policy and developments in Southeastern Europe.

Plenkovic said during the meeting that the strategic partnership between Croatia and France continues to deepen in the areas of the economy, security and defense, culture, and cooperation within the European Union and NATO.
The meeting addressed negotiations on the EU's new Multiannual Financial Framework, the importance of diversifying energy supplies amid geopolitical uncertainties, the EU's enlargement policy and the situation in Southeastern Europe.
Plenkovic said dialogue and partnership with Mediterranean countries continue to be developed within MED9, adding that these efforts aim to contribute to the region's security, stability and prosperity.
