Plenkovic: We discussed the role of pension funds in strengthening the Croatian economy
Zagreb, May 7 (Hibya) - Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic made statements at the business forum of the Prsten Association regarding Croatia’s economic priorities and the role of pension funds in the economy.
Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic shared information on the country’s financial stability and investment strategies at the forum bringing together the Croatian and Italian business communities.
Referring to the content of the forum, Plenkovic said, “At the business forum of the Prsten Association, which brings together the business community in Croatia and Italy and connects Croats, we discussed Croatia’s economic priorities as well as the role of pension funds in strengthening the Croatian economy.”
Emphasizing the economic scale and function of pension funds, Plenkovic said, “Pension funds are one of the main pillars of the long-term financial stability of the pension system and, with asset management of approximately 30 billion euros, have an important function in the development of Croatia’s capital market.”
Sharing future goals, Plenkovic stated, “While preserving their sustainability and stability, we also want to continue responsible investments that will provide returns for Croatian citizens and contribute to the development of the economy through investments in local projects and companies.”
