Portugal’s Foreign Minister Rangel meets EU Commissioner McGrath in Lisbon
Lisbon, April 23 (Hibya) - Portugal’s Foreign Minister Paulo Rangel met with European Commissioner Michael McGrath in Lisbon to discuss the European Union (EU) enlargement process, the rule of law, and the current international agenda.
Rangel held a meeting with McGrath at the Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs building, Palacio das Necessidades.
The meeting addressed the EU enlargement process, rule of law principles, and international developments on the European Commission’s agenda.
The parties also expressed appreciation for Portugal’s support for the “European Democracy Shield” initiative launched by the European Commission.
It was noted that the meeting was important for strengthening coordination on EU policies and institutional cooperation.
