Doha, May 23 (Hibya)- Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani held separate phone calls with the foreign ministers of Iran and Egypt.

During the call held in Doha, Al Thani discussed efforts aimed at ensuring regional security, stability, and peace with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. The discussion emphasized the need to reach a comprehensive agreement to resolve the crisis and the importance of all parties participating constructively in the process.
Al Thani also stated that closing the Strait of Hormuz or using it as a pressure tool would be unacceptable and would deepen the regional crisis.
The Qatari Prime Minister noted that adherence to international law and the preservation of good neighborly principles are critical for regional stability.
In his conversation with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, Al Thani discussed bilateral relations and the development of cooperation. The mediation efforts conducted between the United States and Iran through Pakistan were also evaluated.
The parties emphasized dialogue and diplomacy as essential for reducing regional tensions and reaching a lasting agreement.
