Rubio discusses regional developments with UAE President Bin Zayed
Abu Dhabi, June 24 (Hibya) - United States (US) Secretary of State Marco Rubio met with United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi to discuss regional security and developments related to Iran.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that during his meeting in Abu Dhabi, discussions focused on the memorandum of understanding signed with Iran by President Donald Trump, efforts to ensure safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz, and issues concerning regional stability.
Thanking the UAE leadership for their support, Rubio said, “I thanked the UAE leadership for their unparalleled support.”
Rubio expressed appreciation for the UAE’s stance in the face of Iran’s attacks, saying, “I praised the courage and resilience demonstrated by the UAE.”
Reaffirming US support for the security of the UAE, Rubio also emphasized their commitment to maintaining the strong partnership between the two countries.
