Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar made a statement regarding the incidents that occurred overnight around the village of Jalud in the West Bank.

Saar said that property had been set on fire and Border Police personnel had been injured in the incidents, stating, “The incidents that occurred throughout the night around the village of Jalud, involving the torching of property and the injury of Border Police personnel, are serious and abhorrent.”

Saar said an investigation had been launched into the incident and stated that it should be conducted thoroughly and those responsible should be brought to justice.

Saar said, “Those who committed these crimes, occupied the attention of Border Police and Israel Defense Forces personnel and harmed them are criminals against whom the law must be enforced to the fullest extent.”
