Sale of Lemon Sauces Prohibited
A decision prohibiting the sale of products that mimic lemon juice, such as lemon-flavored sauces, lemon sauce, and similar products with names like lemon juice, has been published in the Official Gazette.
The "Regulation on Amendments to the Turkish Food Codex Regulations," prepared by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Turkey, has been published in the Official Gazette.
According to this regulation, products that mimic lemon juice with names like lemon-flavored sauces, lemon sauce, and similar products cannot be offered in the domestic market.
Products that do not have permission to be offered in the domestic market will no longer be allowed in the market after December 31, 2024.
