Sanchez: Spain has not stopped progressing
Madrid, June 2 (Hibya) – Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez stated that June 1, 2018, marked a turning point in the commitment to strengthening the welfare state after years of cutbacks, emphasizing that Spain has not stopped progressing over the past seven years.
Sanchez emphasized that June 1, 2018, was a milestone in efforts to strengthen the welfare state after prolonged austerity.
He said that Spain has continued to progress over these seven years: “It’s good to look back and recognize what has been done. But most importantly, to keep up the momentum.”
Sanchez announced the opening of the Melilla University Hospital and said that they had fulfilled a historic debt to the people of Melilla: “In today’s Spain, commitments are being honored. This is how we preserve and protect our public, free, and universal healthcare model.”
