Sharif: A roadmap for a final agreement within 60 days has been agreed upon
Bürgenstock, June 22 (Hibya) - Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that the First High-Level Committee Meeting held in Bürgenstock, Switzerland, within the framework of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, concluded successfully.
Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif issued a statement regarding the negotiation process between the United States and Iran and the outcomes of the meeting held in Switzerland.
Providing information about the atmosphere of the meeting and the progress achieved, Sharif said: "The talks were held in a positive and constructive atmosphere, and encouraging progress was made, including agreement on a roadmap toward a final agreement within 60 days, the establishment of a High-Level Committee to provide political oversight, and the launch of further technical discussions."
Sharif also thanked the parties involved and the supporting countries, stating: "I appreciate the continued commitment of both the United States and Iran to constructive dialogue, and I thank all brotherly and friendly countries for their valuable support in advancing this historic process."
Referring specifically to Qatar's role, Sharif concluded: "In particular, I would like to express my gratitude to our brotherly country Qatar for its critical support in creating the conditions necessary for the advancement of these negotiations."
