Smuggled goods worth €72,000 seized at Kapitan Andreevo
Sofia, July 30 (Hibya) – During a customs inspection at Bulgaria's Kapitan Andreevo Border Crossing, smuggled tobacco products and sexual performance-enhancing dietary supplements worth more than €72,000 were seized.
According to a statement by the Bulgarian Customs Agency, a detailed inspection was carried out on a light commercial vehicle driven by a Turkish citizen who entered Bulgaria from Türkiye on his way to Belgium. During the inspection, customs officers discovered 390 kilograms of cut tobacco, 2,200 cigarettes, and 285 packages of sexual performance-enhancing dietary supplements.
The smuggled goods, with a total value of €72,214.80, as well as the vehicle used in the offense, were confiscated, and an investigation was launched under the supervision of the Haskovo Regional Prosecutor's Office.
