Spajic: Benefits Malta gained from EU membership are an important message for Montenegro
Podgorica, September 8 (Hibya) - Montenegro's Prime Minister Milojko Spajic said the benefits Malta has gained from European Union membership are an important incentive for Montenegro, adding that his country has Malta's full support in its European Union integration process.
Montenegro's Prime Minister Milojko Spajic made assessments regarding the European Union accession process following his meeting with Malta's Minister for Foreign Affairs and European Affairs Ian Borg.
Drawing attention to the positive results that Malta's membership in the European Union has brought to the country, Spajic said, “The people of Malta are the best witnesses to the benefits of European Union membership. Although 22 years have passed since accession, nearly 100 percent of Maltese people believe that their country has benefited from joining the European family.”
Spajic said this picture carries an important message of encouragement for Montenegro and expressed satisfaction with Malta's full support for Montenegro's integration process with the European Union.
Spajic said, “I am pleased that we have Malta's full support to complete integration and close the remaining chapters.”
