In a social media statement, U.S. President Trump urged Republicans to show “unity” to ensure the smooth passage of the FISA 702 provision in the House of Representatives.

Trump said he has been working intensively with House Speaker Mike Johnson, as well as Republican representatives Jim Jordan and Rick Crawford, to bring the bill to the floor and secure its approval.

In his remarks, Trump argued that FISA 702 is critical for national security, noting that it plays an important role in tracking foreign threats and ensuring the safety of military operations.

Trump also referred to past investigations and the FBI’s use of the law, claiming that some parts of FISA had been misused for political purposes. Despite this, he emphasized that the current provision is “vital” for the U.S. military and national security.
