Ukrainian Foreign Minister Sybiha reacts to Russia’s attacks
Kyiv, 29 November (Hibya) – Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha made a statement regarding the recent attacks in which Ukraine, particularly the capital Kyiv, was targeted.
Sybiha stated that Russia carried out numerous attacks with cruise and ballistic missiles as well as unmanned aerial vehicles, targeting civilian residential areas, energy infrastructure and critical facilities. According to his statement, at least two people were killed in the attacks and around two dozen others, including a child, were injured.
He argued that the attacks had intensified following certain political visits and stressed that, despite the peace efforts of international actors, Russia continues its assaults.
The Ukrainian Foreign Minister called on the international community to strengthen Ukraine’s defence capacity, impose additional sanctions on Russia and take swift decisions regarding the use of frozen Russian assets.
Sybiha said, “For peace efforts to move forward, support for Ukraine, unity and pressure on Moscow are essential.”
