Ukrainian President Zelensky meets German Defense Minister Pistorius
Kyiv, November 4 (Hibya) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed Russia's attacks on critical infrastructure and the supply of ammunition needed for air defense systems during his meeting with German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that he had briefed German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius on Russia's attacks against critical infrastructure in nearly all regions of Ukraine. Zelensky said that energy infrastructure was being subjected to numerous attacks every day and that the shortage of interceptor missiles for Patriot air defense systems was making it particularly difficult to counter ballistic missiles.
Zelensky noted that Ukraine had a comprehensive two-year agreement to purchase German-made PAC-2 missiles and that efforts were underway to accelerate deliveries. He emphasized that these supplies would make a significant contribution to Ukraine's ability to get through the winter.
Zelensky also stated that the meeting addressed ammunition supplies for IRIS-T systems and F-16 aircraft. He thanked German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Minister Pistorius, and Germany for their continuous support for Ukraine's defense.
