Zelensky stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin doesn't want peace in the Russia-Ukraine war.

In his statement, Zelensky said, "Russia can only force Ukraine to retreat. And it will happen. I believe that our strength will help us in this. The strength of our people, our military strength, our unity with our partners, our own, and our diplomatic strength."

Zelensky asserted the need for global unity to win the war: "The Global Peace Summit will take place, and however it happens, it must be a success. Putin doesn't want peace. His state produces evidence of this every day."
