Von der Leyen: We are providing €3.9 billion in funding for Ukraine
Brussels, June 30 (Hibya) - European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced that €3.9 billion in funding is being provided for Ukraine's unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technology.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced that the first €3.9 billion in funding for advanced unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technology has been made available to strengthen Ukraine's defense.
Referring to the role of the Ukrainian people in the country's defense, von der Leyen said, "At the heart of Ukraine's success in resisting Russia's full-scale invasion lies Ukrainian ingenuity. We want to support that ingenuity."
Sharing details of the military and financial support, von der Leyen stated, "Today, we are providing the first €3.9 billion in funding for advanced UAV technology to strengthen Ukraine's defense. More will follow."
