After his meetings in the U.S., President Zelensky received a comprehensive briefing from the Ukrainian delegation. He noted that issues that cannot be resolved by phone are addressed through face-to-face discussions.

Rustem Umerov and negotiation participants who attended the meetings in Florida conveyed the key points raised by the American side during the dialogue. Work was conducted on the basis of the Geneva document, with improvements made to it.

Zelensky stated that Ukrainian intelligence provided detailed updates to American partners about the situation on the front line. During the meetings, the feasibility of various steps, protection from Russian attacks, and prevention of agreement violations in the event of a potential ceasefire were evaluated.

Ukrainian diplomats continue efforts to ensure that European countries and other participants in the “Coalition of Volunteers” are actively included in the decision-making process. Zelensky briefed the delegation on the meetings in Paris and discussions with U.S. Special Envoy for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff. He also noted that the Russian side has launched new disinformation campaigns ahead of upcoming U.S. talks.

Zelensky instructed his team to continue working as constructively as possible with President Trump’s team and European partners. Ukrainian intelligence will share all information regarding Russia’s true intentions and its attempts to use diplomatic initiatives to weaken sanctions or obstruct European decisions.

Ukraine emphasized that it is conducting all diplomatic efforts with full seriousness, stressing that the fundamental goal is to ensure genuine peace and security. This responsibility can only be achieved if the Russian side demonstrates the same level of commitment and only through cooperation with partners. It was reported that the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council will remain in constant contact regarding the schedule of future meetings with the U.S.
