Zelensky: Energy and civilian infrastructure targeted in Kyiv after Russian attacks
Kyiv, 29 November (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that emergency teams continue working on the ground following the attacks carried out by Russia on Kyiv and its surrounding areas.
Zelensky said that around 36 missiles and nearly 600 drones were used in the attacks, noting that the targets were energy infrastructure and civilian facilities.
He reported that residential buildings suffered major damage, fires broke out, and so far three people have been killed and dozens injured. Zelensky expressed his condolences to the families of the victims.
The Ukrainian leader emphasized the need to supply sufficient ammunition for air defense systems and called on Europe to make decisions regarding frozen Russian assets if Moscow does not stop its attacks. He added that all necessary steps must be discussed with international partners to end the war.
