Zelensky reviews Defense Ministry reports
Kyiv, 29 November (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized the need to update national defense documents based on the report prepared by Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal; budget allocations for drone procurement were also announced.
President Zelensky received the comprehensive report prepared by Minister Shmyhal. The report highlights the need to update Ukraine’s key defense documents, especially the national defense plan. The current phase of the conflict shows that priorities must be renewed.
Zelensky and Shmyhal agreed that detailed proposals for these changes will be prepared and submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers for approval. The minister also reported on his visits to the Mykolaiv and Kherson regions and the protective measures implemented there.
The meeting also addressed the protection of critical infrastructure and the allocation of related resources. It was stated that the government and the Ministry of Defense have fully secured the necessary funding, particularly for drone procurement for combat brigades. Yesterday, a monthly subsidy of 4.3 billion hryvnias for the brigades was financed. Additionally, 8 billion hryvnias were allocated to fund the Drone Line.
