Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made a statement regarding Russia’s ballistic missile production capacity.

Zelensky said Russia is currently capable of producing 600-630 ballistic missiles a year, adding, “Roughly speaking, they could have 100 ballistic missiles a month. But they are not at that level yet.” Zelensky said Ukraine is working to weaken Russia’s military industry and stressed the need to increase defense capabilities against ballistic missiles.

Zelensky said they aim to secure 300 missiles for use in Patriot air defense systems during the winter period and added that they also want support from US stockpiles, saying, “I want to believe that we can find a way to access a small portion of US stockpiles, such as 5 or 10 percent.”
