Zelensky: Russia struck Odesa with attack drones
Kyiv, April 6 (Hibya) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made a statement on civilian casualties, infrastructure damage and rescue operations following intense Russian drone attacks on Odesa and various regions.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky shared details about large-scale overnight air attacks carried out by Russia.
Referring to the effects of the attacks and civilian casualties, Zelensky said: “Last night, Russia struck Odesa with attack drones. Residential buildings, a kindergarten and a regional power substation were damaged. Thousands of families were left without electricity. So far, unfortunately, it has been reported that three people, including a two-year-old child, were killed in the attack.”
Providing information on the injured and the damage to energy infrastructure, Zelensky added: “Sixteen people were injured. Eleven of them, including a pregnant woman and two children, were hospitalized by our medical teams. The youngest is not even one year old yet.”
Thanking defense and repair teams, Zelensky concluded: “In total, the Russians launched more than 140 attack drones against Ukraine in one night; around 80 of them were ‘Shahed’ type.”
