Zelensky: This award, given on behalf of the Ukrainian people, symbolizes our strength and friendship
Kyiv, February 15 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that this year’s Ewald von Kleist Award was presented to the Ukrainian people and expressed gratitude for international support.
President Zelensky, in his remarks upon receiving the Ewald von Kleist Award, noted that the award was presented this year to the people of Ukraine.
Zelensky said, “This award, given on behalf of the Ukrainian people, symbolizes our strength and our friendship. Strength alone is not enough without friendship. Therefore, Ukraine is working to establish at least mutual understanding, respect, and fair treatment with everyone.”
The president thanked those who support Ukraine and who are making efforts to stop the war, stating that the respect shown to Ukrainians is reciprocated.
