Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa participated as the keynote speaker in the session titled “The Future of Syria” at the opening of the 24th session of the 2026 Arab Media Summit held in Dubai.

Al-Sharaa discussed the process that began following the liberation of Damascus and the rebuilding of the state and its institutions. Stating that Syria has transformed from an issue discussed around the world into an opportunity from which everyone can benefit, al-Sharaa said the country is regaining its role and participation at the regional and international levels.

Drawing attention to Syria’s economic and investment opportunities and the importance of its geographical location, al-Sharaa emphasized the importance of developing cooperation with Arab countries and benefiting from their experiences in order to support Syria’s stability, regional stability and the development process.
