Albanese: Australia has stood by Papua New Guinea since independence
Vienna, September 2 (Hibya) - Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, in a statement regarding his meeting with Papua New Guinea Prime Minister James Marape, drew attention to the importance of relations between the two countries.
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese stated that Australia has stood by Papua New Guinea since its independence, saying, “From independence to our new alliance, Australia has stood by Papua New Guinea.”
Emphasizing the special nature of relations between the two countries, Albanese noted that cooperation benefits both nations. Albanese said, “Our relationship is special, and the work we do together benefits both of our countries.”
Albanese also expressed his pleasure at meeting again with Papua New Guinea Prime Minister Marape, saying, “It was good to meet with Prime Minister Marape again today.”
