Ali: We aim to end dependence on food aid
Addis Ababa, April 19 (Hibya) – Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali stated that the results achieved in irrigated maize farming are promising in terms of ending the country’s dependence on food aid.
Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali made an assessment regarding the country’s agricultural policies.
Highlighting irrigated maize production, Ali referred to the results achieved in this field and said, “One of the key areas we focus on as a country is irrigated maize farming, and we are seeing strong success in this area.”
Emphasizing the goal of food independence, Ali stated, “These early results show that our goal of transforming Ethiopia into a country that can feed itself and is not dependent on food aid is achievable.”
