Anand: Charter, commercial flights and land transport available for safe evacuation of Canadians
Ottawa, March 5 (Hibya) – Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand announced that charter flights, commercial flights and land transportation services are available to ensure the safe evacuation of Canadians in the Middle East and the Gulf.
Canadian Foreign Minister Anand stated that efforts are underway to facilitate the safe return of Canadian citizens in the Middle East and the Gulf region. The ministry reported that charter flights, block seat reservations on commercial flights and land transportation services, where safe, are being provided.
Canadian citizens were informed that they can receive support from the Emergency Watch and Response Centre, which operates 24/7.
Anand strongly advised Canadians abroad to register with the Registration of Canadians Abroad (ROCA) system in order to quickly access up-to-date information.
