The UAE Ministry of Defense announced that the country’s airspace is currently active as part of defense measures against ballistic missile and drone threats coming from Iran, stating: “The United Arab Emirates’ air defense is currently combating missile and drone threats coming from Iran.”

The ministry confirmed that the loud sounds heard in various parts of the country in recent days were caused by air defense systems intercepting ballistic missiles and by fighter jets stopping unmanned and loitering aerial vehicles.

Authorities called on citizens and residents to comply with safety and security instructions. The ministry advised the public not to panic and to follow official announcements.
